The Truth Behind The Headlines

As is so often the case these days I find myself incredulous at the outright garbage we are told by politicians. To be fair, many of the media channels do their best to at least inspire some questioning of the "facts" that politicians give us.... but the truth is there if people are willing to see it. Its easy to label those who question the truthfulness of politicians as conspiracy theorists, many are, but lets take a look at the release of Abul Baset Al - Megrahi.

Mandelson is on holiday in Corfu , there he meets Gadaffi's son Saif at the Rothschilds Greek villa a week before the release, he also met Saif Gaddafi back in May. Mandelson says that its "offensive" to suggest that a deal was done over oil in exchange for Megrahis freedom ? Yes it is offensive, not as offensive though as the assumption that we are all stupid enough to believe everything that politicians tell us, post Iraq War and the WMDs lies, by an unelected peer with a history of hobnobbing with the powerful elite and for resigning after allowing his private life to influence political decisions. Its about time that the face of politics changed, we need some semblance of direct democracy, and now, a way of taking party politics out of the equation and the old "left / right" arguments need to be consigned to the bin. The debate needs to be how we wrest control of our lives from the hands of those who seek nothing expect personal gain and care nothing for ordinary people.

People need to wake up to the uncomfortable reality that not all "conspiracy theories" are theories.
